Automation Engineer

100% Remote - EST/CST Hours

Description:

Assist with migrating log monitoring settings and customizations from legacy tools to our next generation platform through the development of automation solutions.

Must have:

  • Knowledge of Enterprise logging techniques and compliance policies
  • Strong experience using Splunk for automated alerting, OR
  • Strong experience configuring Dynatrace for automated alerting
  • Experience with scripting languages for data manipulation, extraction, correlation, and automation. Experience with Splunk Programming language is strongly desired

Desired:

  • Background in enterprise monitoring & alert management
  • Comfortable translating business requirements into technical requirements
  • Experience configuring enterprise monitoring tools such as BMC Patrol, BMC TMART, Netcool/OMNIbus
  • Experience migrating monitoring settings between competing platforms
  • Experience with Ansible
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum
  • Infrastructure programming via API (JSON, YAML, REST)
  • Experience with CI/CD with knowledge of Git, Maven and Jenkins
  • Possess knowledge of general IT infrastructure, networking, and distributed application architecture.
