BrightDrop Service Readiness organization has responsibility for the aftersales and service readiness of every BrightDrop product globally. We seek an aspiring candidate to join our service readiness team and serve as a subject matter expert in service engineering. The BrightDrop Service Engineering Specialist is responsible for representing the Service readiness team cross functionally during the BrightDrop Product Development process. The role will partner with BrightDrop engineering teams to achieve world class serviceability for all current and future BrightDrop engineered products. These key deliverables will ensure the highest customer satisfaction when it comes to repairing BrightDrop products within our repair network.
Responsibilities would include items such as:
Service part planning and assessments
Service information authoring
Technical training requirements
Technical bulletin communications
Serviceability requirements and impact studies
Repair network and field service engineer support
Part catalog support and accuracy
Diagnostic software and programming support
Equipment and Tool requirements
Brand quality updates and support
Other project work as needed
Additional Job Description
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Automotive Technology or equivalent experience
Demonstrated technical knowledge of Aftersales and Service deliverables and strives to become a specialized expert
Knowledge of vehicle development process, change management, immersive/virtual engineering systems and proficient with Microsoft Office software
Works efficiently and effectively cross functionally with individuals and teams to solve a problem or complete a project.
Actively participates in various engineering teams and forums raising concerns and offering feasible solutions
Exhibits appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals
Develops and maintains constructive and cooperative working relationships with others
Seeks opportunities for collaborative experiences to help accomplish organizational goals
Able and willing to learn quickly. Strives for continuous self-improvement through formal and informal learning
Holds themselves and others accountable for demonstrating BrightDrop's core behaviors
Valued Experiences and Skills:
Automotive service parts experience at the wholesale or retail level
Manufacturing, vehicle engineering experience
Working knowledge of automotive service practices and procedures
Demonstrated knowledge of vehicle systems
Demonstrated dealership or field experience
Hands on experience in automotive diagnosis and repair
High level of oral and written communication skills
Ability to work with ambiguity
