Great Plains Communications is looking for a Broadband Technician to install, maintain, and repair telephone, Internet, television, and fiber services in our St. Edward, Nebraska area.

One to three years of telephone, cable TV, and internet installation and maintenance experience is desired. Telecommunications or electronics degree is a plus. Must have knowledge of basic electronics, cable color code, test equipment, fiber optics, computers, key systems, and DSL modems. Successful candidates must also have the ability to interpret staking sheets, maps, work orders, and cable counts, and splice cable as needed. Excellent communication and customer relation skills are a must. Must also be able to dig ditches, climb ladders and poles, and lift up to 50 pounds as necessary. A valid driver s license is required.
