What You Can Expect

As an insulation estimator you will be completing residential/commercial or multifamily take-offs from builder blueprints and complete material and labor estimates.

Interpret blueprints and CAD drawings to create load calculations and designs
Estimate material amounts and cost of labor to complete the installation of insulation in residential / commercial homes and building
Communicate directly to the customer/builder when necessary

To Be Successful

High School Diploma or GED
Understand how to read blue prints, draw and draft design plans
Familiar with inspector guidelines and safety precautions
Valid driver's license
Working knowledge of the construction industry with a focus on insulation

For Your Safety

Bend, walk and stand for periods of time
Ascend ladders or scaffolds if needed
Computer literacy
