Gestionnaire de l'énergie

Relevant du (de la) directeur(-trice) principal(e) de l'énergie, le ou la gestionnaire de l'énergie est responsable de gérer les relations entre Les Compagnies Loblaw Limitée, les exploitants de magasins, les services publics locaux, les entrepreneurs et les consultants pour s'assurer que les projets de conservation de l'énergie et les demandes de primes sont conformes aux normes de Loblaw.

Tâches :

Surveillance : passer en revue sur une base régulière la consommation d'énergie et la charge électrique du bâtiment afin de s'assurer que les activités d'économie de l'énergie sont maintenues. Résoudre les probèmes rencontrés en élaborant des stratégies qui favorisent un engagement à long terme envers la conservation de l'énergie.
Évaluation principale : passer en revue les rapports d'étude sur l'énergie existants et effectuer une évaluation de haut niveau, y compris une vérification détaillée de chaque secteur des principaux processus pour chaque site, afin de repérer les possibilités d'économie d'énergie et les systèmes qui nécessiteraient une évaluation plus détaillée.
Possibilités d'économie d'énergie et plan d'action : déterminer, évaluer, hiérarchiser et recommander à la haute direction des projets d'économie d'énergie, y compris des projets d'amélioration des immobilisations et des changements au niveau de l'exploitation et de la maintenance. Il faut, entre autres, préparer des analyses de rentabilité visant à justifier les dépenses en capital et remplir des demandes pour les initiatives LDC CDM et d'autres organismes afin de maximiser le financement possible pour les projets d'économie d'énergie.
Mise en œuvre de projets et économies d'électricité : coordonner la mise en œuvre de projets d'économie d'énergie, y compris la planification, l'établissement du budget et la création d'échéanciers pour la conception, l'installation, la mise en service et de la vérification des projets d'efficacité énergétique.
Demande de prime : recueillir et organiser l'information, soumettre des demandes de conservation de l'énergie aux services publics adéquats et assurer le suivi et la gestion efficaces du processus de demande.
Stratégie d'évaluation et de vérification : élaborer une stratégie pour évaluer et vérifier les projets d'économie d'énergie à l'échelle de l'entreprise (c.-à-d. non impliqués au niveau du projet).
Amélioration des comportements en gestion de l'énergie et des procédures opérationnelles : viser à créer et à favoriser une culture de gestion de l'énergie durable dans les installations de Loblaw, et offrir aux employés les outils pour reconnaître et signaler les problèmes et les idées en matière de conservation et d'efficacité énergétique.
Programme de sensibilisation des employés : élaborer un programme de formation et de sensibilisation à l'intention des employés visant à promouvoir la conservation de l'énergie et à communiquer les initiatives d'efficacité énergétique en cours.
Offrir son aide aux projets LCD : collaborer avec les autorités compétentes lors des inspections ponctuelles du site en ce qui a trait aux diverses mesures mises en œuvre. Recueillir des renseignements pertinents sur la consommation d'électricité supplémentaire (achats d'équipement, changements d'horaire, changements d'occupation ou construction).
Développement des magasins : collaborer avec les ingénieurs et les concepteurs pendant les étapes de planification des nouveaux magasins ou des rénovations afin d'encadrer la création de systèmes d'éclairage, de CVCA, de réfrigération et de commande plus écoénergétiques
Formation : former les employés en magasin pour les inciter à participer à la conservation de l'énergie et leur fournir une compréhension de base de la façon dont les systèmes coopèrent pour réduire la demande d'énergie et la conserver.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Energy, the Energy Manager is responsible for managing the relationship between Loblaw Companies, store operators, local utilities, contractors, and consultants to ensure energy conservation projects and incentive applications are complete according to Loblaw standards.

Duties:

Monitoring - Review energy consumption and building electrical loads on regular intervals to ensure energy saving activities are maintained. If issues arise, develop strategies to solve them that promote a long-term commitment to energy conservation.
Primary Assessment - Review existing energy study reports and perform a high-level assessment, including a walk-through audit of each major process area of each site, to identify energy saving opportunities and to identify which systems will require more detailed evaluations.
Energy Saving Opportunities & Action Plan - Identify, assess, prioritize and recommend to senior management energy-saving opportunity projects including both capital improvement projects and operational and maintenance changes. This will include the preparation of business cases to justify capital expenditures and the completion of applications to LDC CDM initiatives and to other agencies to maximize funding available for energy-saving projects.
Project Implementation & Electrical Energy Savings - Coordinate the implementation of energy-saving projects, including the planning, budgeting, and scheduling for the design, installation, commissioning, and verification of energy efficiency projects.
Incentive Application - Gather and organize information, submit energy conservation applications to required utilities, and effectively track and manage application process.
Measurement & Verification Strategy - Develop a strategy for the Measurement & Verification of energy-saving projects at a corporate level (i.e. not involved at project level).
Energy Management Behavior and Business Process Improvements - Work to create and foster a sustainable energy management culture at Loblaw facilities and provide an avenue for employees to recognize and report issues and ideas regarding energy conservation and efficiency.
Employee Awareness Program - Develop an employee training and awareness program to promote energy conservation and communicate the energy efficiency initiatives undertaken.
Assistance to LDC Projects - Coordinate and assist with site inspections by authorities having jurisdiction from time to time of the various measures implemented. Collect relevant information regarding additional electrical energy use (equipment purchases, schedule changes, occupancy changes or construction).
Store Development - Work with engineers and designers during planning stages of new stores and/or renovations to create a framework for creating more energy efficient lighting, HVAC, refrigeration, and control systems
Training - Train staff at store level to promote participation in energy conservation and provide a basis for understanding how systems work together to conserve energy and reduce demand.

Qualifications:

Electrical or Mechanical Engineer
Licensed 309A Electrician or 313A HVAC technician with minimum of 5 years of experience will be strongly considered.
CEM and CMVP qualifications preferred.
Minimum of 3-4 years of related experience in energy management and/or project management.
Strong knowledge of refrigeration, HVAC, lighting, and control systems.
Ability to effectively coordinate and handle, under pressure, multiple projects with a high degree of independence and professional judgment to meet or beat project deadline.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret all design, development, and construction documents, specifications, and bids, and recommend necessary changes or additions.
Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
Demonstrated success in project delivery and execution of project management methods.
Excellent relationship building and team building skills.
Superior analytical skills with the ability to provide accurate forecasts and business insights.
Effective communicator with demonstrated written and verbal skills ie. report writing, presentations and meeting facilitation.
Capable of setting clear and deliverable goals for themselves and the team.
Works well in a team environment and has a positive outlook and attitude.
Good time management and organizational skills.
Proactive individual, able to effectively manage various projects simultaneously.
A demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people at various levels of an organization.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint), estimating, and scheduling software (Microsoft Project).
