Facilities Project Coordinator
Job Description Summary:
This position is a member of the Facilities, Planning and Construction ("FPC") team. This position is primarily responsible for providing facilities project management coordination and specialized administrative support to a team of internal project managers, construction managers, architects, engineers, interior designers, and inspectors for construction projects.
Significant efforts include contract administration and other pertinent record keeping functions, processing of construction project activities according to professional, contractual, industry, legal, State, Federal and University guidelines, policies, practices, laws, regulations, etc. FPC projects occur at UNO, UNL, UNK, and NCTA campuses and outstate facilities. This position will work primarily out of the Lincoln office.
Minimum QualificationsTwo years post-secondary education and three (3) years of experience demonstrating project-related administration support, including preparation, format, proofread and delivery of quality professional correspondence. Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office and Adobe. Demonstrated attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills. A valid driver's license.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, English, Construction, or related field. Five or more years contract administration experience; knowledge of the construction industry practices; proficiency in e-Builder, Visio, Bluebeam, and DocuSign; knowledge of State contract law; and higher education experience.Preferred LicensesCertified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA)The ideal candidate is an agile, organized, self-starter proficient in time management; an energetic, analytical problem solver who can work independently maintaining complex information files while providing support to multiple individuals on multiple projects; sound judgment to seek supervision and/or input from others when necessary; a resilient learner who is able to develop positive relationships with team members.An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge is acquired may be considered.
