This position requires a dedicated professional with the ability to manage a commercial metal and wood framing commercial project from pre-construction to final structural walk through. Must be willing to travel to all parts of the United States, the scheduling of this position work days is understood to be determined by the projects. This position requires on-site coordination for all phases of wood and metal commercial framing construction, including coordinating subcontractors, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. This position is a working position and will require manual labor at times. Superintendent shall be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.

Role And Responsibilities

· Advocates safety as the number one priority on the job-site and enforces compliance with company and general contractor's safety plan.

· Work alongside Estimating and Project Management to supervise, direct, and coordinate management projects, to ensure the efficient and orderly performance of the job

· Create and implement detailed schedules and production plans within budget with safety goals in mind

· Responsible for daily reports, progress reports, compliance reports, and logs on Procore

· Oversees the review of plans and drawings in accordance with contract documents and the coordination of shop drawings

· Procures tools and materials needed for the project to ensure availability according to the work schedule

· Determines staffing levels and timing considering building methodology as well as the availability of tools and equipment for each phase of the project

· Works with supervisory personnel to improve construction methods and resolve construction issues

· Ensures construction schedules are adhered to by determining appropriate staffing levels and material and tool procurement

· Supervises and coordinates subcontractors to monitor their compliance with subcontract terms

· Follows and enforces company policies and procedures

· Oversees regulatory inspection and Codes

Preferred Skills:

· Current knowledge and ability to apply relevant local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including OSHA

· Ability to communicate information to management, general contractors, and subcontractors both verbally and in writing and to present information to top management, owners, subcontractors, and other outside entities

· Basic math skills

· Basic computer skills - Procore / Bluebeam / PlanSwift / Excel a plus

· Professional attitude and appearance

· People management skills

· Leadership and management skills

· Willingness to travel and be on the road for long stints

Tools and Technology:

· Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings

· Knowledgeable in construction software: Procore / Bluebeam / PlanSwift / Excel a plus

· Need to show proficiency in construction software in

Physical Requirements:

· Works significant portion of the day outside on construction site

· Must be able to stand for long periods and work at heights

· Must be able to work in all types of weather (including exposure to extremes of hot and cold) and in all kinds of work environments

· Able to lift/move up to 100 pounds

· Able to stand; crawl; climb ladders & stairs; balance; stoop and kneel; etc (physical activities associated with construction sites)
