The position is more of an industrial maintenance technician that will self-perform or assist other technicians with advanced repairs throughout the campus. The role works under minimal supervision and some contact with external suppliers and customers.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Follow all safety procedures, compliance, and protocols. Ensure that pre-task planning is complete for each and every task.Must be flexible, able, and willing to assist in maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment including but not limited to: pumps, piping, plumbing, doors, dock equipment, lighting, air handlers, steam systems, walls, flooring, ceilings, bathrooms, drains, and much moreInstall, maintain, and repair electrical pumps, motors, heaters, piping systems, water systems, and steam systemsPerforms welding, fabrication, repairs, and modifies a variety of industrial equipment and metal systemsDiagnose, troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogs as necessary.Support others to maintain air compression equipment, tracking air pressure levels and making adjustments as necessary.Perform repairs or maintenance to water lines, pneumatic lines, coolant systems, and a variety of other leaking lines.Other duties as assignedQualifications:High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferredMust be 21 years old or olderThree (3) or more years of experience in industrial maintenance work is requiredMust possess applicable certifications, licenses and a valid driver's licenseMust be flexible on duties and scheduleMust be able to perform the duties listed above including: welding, plumbing, mechanical, and electricalAbility to work independentlyAbility to perform work at heights using fall protection gearAbility to stoop, bend, manipulate tools in small spacesAbility to frequently lift and or move a variety of objects up to 75 poundsRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
