We have a new team that we have been brought on board to help staff. We are working directly with the hiring HW manager. He is looking for a senior to principal level Hardware engineer. Board design and systems work. These are all new hires due to growth that has been fueled on the network and cloud side of their core business.

KEYS: Hardware board level design and development.

Work with PBC designers, CAD, Verilog, DFM, board/system bring up, FPGA work, etc. Design, test, debug. Work with contract manufacturers. Ideally some CPU or ARM processor work helpful.

Issue is that they have had parts shortages, memory and component upgrades, etc.

Need a utility, experienced HW Engineer that can re work stuff in production and do NEW design.

SALARY relatively open. Base salaries $-k is reachable. OTE with additional bonus and RSU grants can reach $k - $k range depending on experience and how well the candidate interviews.

People are building stuff and will need to get to the lab in Nashua, so ONSITE is required. (Some flex in hours is OK)


Candidates for this position would be responsible for the entire hardware design process:

  • Writing specifications and drawing schematics for high complexity boards
  • Authoring Functional Specifications
  • Selecting and Qualifying Components
  • Schematic Capture
  • Working closely with PCB Layout (CAD)
  • Overseeing and specifying PCB fabrication
  • Working closely with Contract Manufacturer (CM) during all builds , from proto through production
  • Lab bring up and debug
  • Qualifying Components
  • Training CM for high yield test and manufacturing
  • Qualifications

  • BSEE
  • 5 to 15 years of relevant experience
  • Experience designing Networking Hardware, particularly Ethernet switching
  • Embedded x86/ARM system design is highly desirable
  • High layer count boards
  • Gigabit+ signaling experience
  • High speed (> MHz) parallel buses, SDR and DDR
  • .3 IEEE compliance
  • Working closely with CAD designers on complicated layout and routing
  • Working closely with Software engineers for bring up and debug
  • Familiarity with signal integrity and power integrity concepts such as impedance, differential routing, insertion loss, board stack ups
  • Experience designing for Manufacturability (DFM)
  • FPGA design using Verilog
  • System simulation using Verilog
  • Working with Contract Manufacturers
  • Successfully taking products from concept to production
