Job Description

We are augmenting our team and looking for a college intern for the summer to assist our engineering staff with several ongoing projects.

Position Summary

Provide engineering project support in a small semiconductor manufacturing facility. Projects could be in any area within the fab such as Photolithography, Etch, Diffusion, Metallization, etc.

  • This process internship enables an opportunity for Microchip to build our talent pipeline which in turn equips us to meet our current organizational needs and enables us to realize our future vision.
  • Daily activities would be working with a process engineer to make progress on projects important to meet our production and quality goals.
  • Work in a cleanroom on semiconductor equipment, metrology equipment, analyzing data, tracking project progress, updating operation specifications.
  • Work with minimal oversight by an engineer, able to get oriented quickly with a project to make meaningful progress independently.
  • Job Requirements


  • Must be c urrently enrolled in an engineering degree program such as physics, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, or other similarly oriented program.
