The Jewish Community Campus, located in Overland Park, is a 250,000 square foot building on 25-acre grounds. The building is home to nine agencies including the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City. The building includes a preschool; K-12 private school; 500-seat theater; fitness center; indoor and outdoor pool; commercial kitchens; private offices; and public meeting/rental spaces. The Maintenance and Custodial Technician helps to ensure our facilities are safe, clean and welcoming to visitors and employees. The Technician is responsible for: Light Plumbing maintenance, including sinks, showers, toilets, urinals etc. Lighting and Electrical maintenance, including changing ballasts, bulbs, outlets Carpentry, basic drywall, mudding, painting Changing out and cutting ceiling tiles Assisting coworkers on the Maintenance team as needed Grounds maintenance, trash pickup, basic landscaping and snow removal responsibilities Basic indoor cleaning of common spaces, restrooms, kitchens Assist with room set ups/tear downs and clean up throughout Campus Schedule Tuesday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm and Saturday 12:00pm - 8:30pm Benefits Medical, dental, vision, life, long term disability insurance Paid time off Holiday pay Retirement plan with employer contribution and match Free family membership to the Fitness Center A minimum of 3 years experience maintenance of a commercial building is preferred. Able to perform light plumbing, electrical and carpentry tasks Able to lift 50 lbs and carry up to 90 ft Able to work and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Able to establish and maintain effective working relationship with those encountered in the course of work.
