This role will perform regularly scheduled preventative maintenance, monthly safety checks, make repairs and modifications to equipment and repair the facility as needed. What's in it For You: The opportunity to take on some of the world's most meaningful challenges, helping customers achieve clean water, safe food, abundant energy and healthy environments The ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth The support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives and ideas to achieve our best What You Will Do: Troubleshoot, repair, and install pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, centrifugal, and positive displacement pumps Troubleshoot and repair electrical motors, timers, transformers, and controls Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC electrical systems, read schematics, and use electrical testing equipment Work with Programmable Logic Controls and preventative maintenance CMMS systems Perform regularly scheduled preventative maintenance, monthly safety checks, and make repairs and modifications to equipment and facilities Assist with root cause and breakdown analysis Ensure that all guards and safety devices for the equipment are operational and the piece of equipment is safe to return to service Complete work as assigned to ensure efficient, cost effective, and timely repairs to production equipment Manage assigned inventory to acceptable levels Participate in continuous improvement of the preventative maintenance program Ensure all data related to preventative and corrective maintenance activities is correct and documented Communicate effectively with team members and internal customers Demonstrate a working knowledge of plant safety rules, safe working methods, and good housekeeping practices Other duties as assigned Position Details: Plant location: Joliet, IL Work week and shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM Rotating Schedule (2 on, 3 off; 2 on, 2 off; 3 on, 2 off) Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED 5+ years experience in an industrial maintenance environment 5+ years of experience with electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial environment 5+ years of experience with tools, procedures and methods utilized in an industrial maintenance environment. 3+ years of experience with electronic and PLC based applications in an industrial environment. No immigration sponsorship offered for this role Physical Demands: Must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam Preferred Qualifications: Formal vocational training in plant maintenance activities with emphasis on industrial applications or equivalent job experience in electricity, power distribution, industrial electrical wiring, mechanics, machine operations, general plumbing, heating ventilation and air conditioning, boiler operations Certificate in Industrial Electrical/ Electronic or Industrial Maintenance Technology from Joliet Junior College or equivalent Ability to troubleshoot Allen Bradley RSLogix 500 and 5000 Trained in ARC Flash safety Able to work in difficult situations such as confined spaces, heat and in high places Experience in pumps, welding, bearings, electrical safety, forklifts, gears, hydraulics, valves, utilities, water treatment, sustainability, alignment, and rigging Experience in a TPM and Lean Environment Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion At Ecolab, we believe the best teams are diverse and inclusive, and we are on a journey to create a workplace where every associate can grow and achieve their best.
