As a Manager Systems Engineering you will drive capacity planning and transformation activities for the Data Center at CVS Health. You will be in the forefront of leveraging current technology with new technology for the business and ensure that system maintenance and upgrades run smoothly. You will develop a 24/7 support structure for the team and ensuring processes are efficient.
As part of the Data Storage team, you will part of a team of implementation engineers, operational specialists and system specialists. Supporting multiple platforms and technologies, including EMC, Brocade, VMWARE, & Cisco to ensure that business goals and objectives are met. You will evaluate production incidents and handle critical system issues while mitigating any risk and compliance issues for the company. You will partner with internal clients to direct, manage, and support multiple operating environments and platforms focusing on vulnerability management, stability, capacity, and quality of service while meeting and exceeding service level agreements (SLA).
This position will be located in Florham Park NJ, Woonsocket RI, or Scottsdale, AZ.
The Manager Systems Engineering is responsible for management of all centralized storage technologies. This technology includes the various NAS/CAS/SAN environments, and all other technologies classified as a storage technology.
Handling production technology incidents / events to resolution ensuring timely engagement, escalation and effective communication to internal and external clients, in addition to providing oversight to vulnerability management and root cause analyses.
Identifying and implementing opportunities for team, process, and group improvements and efficiencies.
Proactively identifying and resolving common root causes of issues and addressing those to improve the overall quality of production stability.
Partnering with application vendors on application updates.
Determining application redundancy and contingency plans for production issues, ensuring that services remain interrupted to customers.
Teaming with Application Management, Architects and SME's to identify necessary system improvements and solutions for vulnerability management, processing capacity and stability needs of production.
Working with business and technology partners to plan and test disaster recovery (DR) plans.
Perform activities related to install, configure and managing CAS/NAS/SAN devices and fiber switches.
Administer Brocade/Cisco director FC switche
Oversee IO performance of production along with development
Develop and maintain records for entire storage as well as FC systems.
Creates and maintains storage and systems documentation
Provides storage optimization, tuning, and capacity planning Knowledge of enterprise storage and backup technologies -Managing sizing hardware, capacity planning, storage design Managing disaster recovery, databases, backups, and virtualization and documentation

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
Minimum 5+ years' experience in IT Infrastructure, working on multiple platforms, including EMC.
5+ years experience working in Production Support Management.
5+ years experience working with Hardware and Software Infrastructure Management.

10+ years' experience in the IT field. Experience working for a Fortune 100 organizations.
Healthcare experience. Enterprise Risk, Compliance, and Regulatory Reporting experience.
Experience with EMC, Netapp, Brocade, VMware, Cisco. Experience support for enterprise level applications.
Vendor management and SLA governance skills.
Infrastructure as a Service (Iaas) experience or experience working in a Greenfield environment.
Internal client relationship and development experience.
Design, development, and implementation experience in a data center.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related field.
Will consider High School Diploma/GED plus years of related work experience lieu of Bachelor's Degree.
Master's Degree preferred
