Primary Location: United States (US)- Iowa - Waterloo Function: Manufacturing EngineeringTitle: Part-Time Student-Manufacturing Engineering, Machining-Waterloo IA- 74942 The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company's regular full-me staff and is forstudents who work in parallel to their school schedule. Your Responsibilities Maintain and evolve existingtools and processes Assists team in identifying issues and proposing resolutions Gather, review, and analyze information Supports multiple departments in their daily functions Produces a variety of correspondence and reports in support of department processes Learns and applies company engineering policies and practices; learns company products What You Need Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Management Information Systems, CNC Machining and Tool-Making Technology; others may apply Graduation date of May 2022 or later Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university (Hawkeye, UNI, Wartburg, Upper Iowa, etc) Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis What Makes You Stand Out Good interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills High level of attention to detail and accuracy Understanding of machining processes and tooling Capable of learning integrated manufacturing systems Exposure to NC Programming What You'll Get At John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go.
