Come join the team at HT Engineering! We are an independent, employee-owned firm serving the oil and gas pipeline industry in the Midwest. We are looking for a motivated and personable professional to work with our integrity group. Experience is preferred but not required; we can provide on-the-job training and mentoring. Must be local or willing to relocate to the Grand Rapids, Michigan area, no fully remote candidates will be considered. Salary range is $60,000 to $100,000, depending on experience. Relocation package available. Full benefits included. Hybrid home/office schedule available.

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in related engineering field
  • Pipeline integrity engineering experience preferred
  • Field engineering experience preferred
  • Engineering experience desirable in pipeline design, hydraulics, repair, integrity assessments and fitness-for-service evaluations, risk management, operations, and compliance
  • Understanding of applicable codes and regulations such as 49 CFR Parts 190, 192, and 195, ASME B31.4 and B31.8, API 1110, NACE RP 0102, API 1160, ASME B31.8S, and API 1176
  • Self-motivated and able to perform effectively on a team with minimal supervision
  • Willing to travel for client meetings and jobsite visits
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to comfortably facilitate meetings
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Excel (native functions along with Power Query, Power Pivot, etc.)
  • Experience with or ability to learn data analysis using Python


  • Work with internal team and client stakeholders to manage pipeline integrity
  • Integrity Management Program development, maintenance, and improvement
  • Audit preparation and support
  • Develop and maintain integrity assessment schedules
  • Screen for and identify integrity threats
  • Select integrity assessment method(s)
  • Manage, integrate, and perform quality control on ILI Data
  • Develop repair plans
  • Manage repair plans
  • Determine repair methods
  • Facilitate risk and integrity data collection
  • Perform risk assessments
  • Evaluate preventive and mitigative measures
  • Facilitate Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) Studies
  • Facilitate Scenario Based Risk Assessments (SBRAs)
  • Maintain detailed daily timesheet for client billing purposes
