Job Summary:
East Wests New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineering group is a catalyst for growth by working hand in hand with customers, our Asian manufacturing facilities, and third-party suppliers to bring customers new products into production. The NPI group uses their collective engineering skills, customer focus, process discipline, and strong communication and collaboration skills to navigate development challenges and ensure good project outcomes.
This senior role in the NPI organization will split time between people management responsibilities and project technical leadership.
As a people manager you will lead and support a team of domestic and Chinese engineers to provide technical and professional guidance, ensure resourcing needs are met, and ensure good project outcomes. You will also build your team by creating and managing development plans and conducting quarterly performance reviews. As part of the NPI leadership team you will work with other engineering leaders to manage resources, develop process improvements, and communicate best practices across the group.
As an engineering lead you will use your experience, engineering knowledge, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills to provide technical leadership and champion projects through our NPI process. These high visibility projects will frequently involve critical customers, novel engineering challenges, and will require significant collaboration with internal and customer partners. This position will be based in Atlanta and report to the Director of New Product Introduction. A hybrid schedule of working in the office and working from home is allowed.
