Our optics business leverages ZYGO's expertise in optical design and assembly and high-volume manufacturing of precision optical components and systems for aerospace, defense, medical and semiconductor processing applications.ZYGO Extreme Precision Optics (EPO) Group is seeking a skilled Senior Technical Project Manager who thrives in an environment of complexity and excels at connecting planning to execution.The Sr. Technical Project Manager will drive the execution and delivery of a high profile, fast-paced, technologically challenging development program to further enable the growing EUV market. The program will entail designing, building, testing, qualifying, and refining key metrology and manufacturing technology and equipment to achieve sub-nanometer precision optics, thereby enabling customer success.Basic Duties and Responsibilities:• Oversee and maintain project schedule and keeps team on target.• Oversee and maintain budget plan• Develop schedule and budget trade-offs with stakeholder and engineers when required • Track, analyze, and report information appropriately to allow the project teams to manage their projects and evaluate weekly reports• Co-ordinate project schedules, tasks, meeting updates, and efficient distribution of reports• Ensure accuracy of project schedules and performed version control• Monitor projects' progress, including identifying critical activities and reviewing forecasts and progress achieved to date• Provide customer milestone reporting and earned value managementPosition Requirements:B.S. in Engineering, Physics or related fields Minimum of 7+ year related-work experience in high tech environment or semiconductor equipment industry as a project manager.Strong product and process development experience in a high-tech environment.Experience in optics manufacturing and processes preferred.• Proficiency in the use of MS Project• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Powerpoint• Strong communication skills - written and verbal.• Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment• Comfortable working with, presenting to, and facilitating decisions among senior leaders and executives• Good understanding of general finance and accounting• Proven multitasking skills and the ability to work under extreme pressure• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills• Ability to work in a fast, efficient environment with cross-functional teams• Knowledge of VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) as applied to Excel and Project is a plusPhysical Requirements:The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
